"You have a right

to be treated fairly."

I'm Judge Scot Dollinger. Folks ask me, "How did 'dolli' get started?" Growing up in Beaumont, Texas, my friends started calling me "dolli." The name stuck and carried over to high school, college and my professional life. Though born and raised in Beaumont, I've lived and worked in Harris County for over thirty years.

Others ask, "Why do they call you 'the Pie Guy'?"  Because I make pies for all my juries - over 100 so far.  It's my way of saying "Thank you for your service."

I took the bench January 1, 2019.  The next election is now in 2022 - March 1 Democratic Primary and November General Election.

Please get involved in the Harris County Democratic party.  Thank you for voting for me in November 2018.  Vote for me again in the March 1, 2022 Democratic Primary.  Get your friends involved.  Remember  Thank you!

Everybody needs to know when they come to court they will be treated fairly by an experienced, knowledgeable judge. "You have the right to be treated fairly." It's that simple.

After practicing law for over 34 years, I'm experienced, efficient and effective enough to run a fair court for all.

In my first year, I almost tripled the number of jury trials, I started properly marrying same sex couples and conducting Chapter 33 hearings.  I expanded my Guardian Ad Litem Appointment List to include more women and minorities.  I treat everyone politely and rule promptly - either from the bench or within 4 days of the hearing.  I sign all orders electronically and am paperless which makes the court much more efficient.  Please re-elect me so I can continue to run this court efficiently and fairly.

The 189th District Court hears civil disputes from $200 and up and is considered a court of general jurisdiction.  If you're a registered voter in Harris County, you can vote for me because it's a county-wide seat - I was on every ballot in Harris County on November 6, 2018.  All District Courts are "at large" positions.

In 2014, I was the Democratic Nominee on the ballot for Civil Court No. 2 in Harris County. I ran again in the 2018 election cycle for the 189th bench because I continued to believe the best way to improve Harris County is to make sure that everyone is treated fairly. That means having an experienced lawyer as your judge who brings people together to solve problems without bias, sympathy or prejudice.

We elect our judges by partisan elections. But all judges have to check their politics at the door and be fair to everyone regardless of party affiliation. Outcomes should be based on the law and facts, not politics.  Please re-elect me in 2022.

Election day, November 6, 2018, went our way -
